I also bought entirely new copies of Empire Total War, and Napoleon I have tried reinstalling the game, I did it twice. I have a Windows 7 with Intel HD Graphics, HP Pavilion P6000 series. I am not really a computer genious so I don't know what I should add. I don't know why this is happening and i searchedĬountless times almost everywhere for a solution. My mouse is frozen, task manager won't run, and even if i'm tabbed down while its starting up it will still cause my computer to crash. My problem is that whenever i start the game it just freezes at the first screen you see, the screen where it says who the game is by and creators etc. Total war recently and so no one looks at these questions anymore. I'm kinda far behind though because everyone else who had problems reported them years ago when Empire Total War came out. I have looked nearly everywhere for help on my problem. So essentually i am saying: Help me ObiWan Kenobi, You're my only hope! My PC details are: Alienware area-51 m9750 Intel Duel core 2.00Ghz Ram: 2048mb Graphics: NVidia Geforce 8700M DirectX 11 I've tried the Steam forums, But they were useless and Nvidia were no help either. I've downloaded the new Drivers for the graphics card, I've downloaded the old drivers for the graphics card and it still refuses to work. Also, Empire total war ran fine under Vista. I am then able to go back into the options and settings and ramp up the settings to Ultra again.
However, What is most weird, is that If i turn all the graphics down to completely low (So it looks like Shogun total war :P) then the battle will run. I cannot start the battles I am able to get into the Main menu and change the graphics and other settings, but i am unable to launch a battle or do anything like that. However have noticed a fault with Empire total war Demo. I'm using Win 7 32bit RC On my alienware PC to test it out.
